Aldermanic Menu Funds
Each Alderman is allocated $1.5 million for infrastructure improvements.

The 39th Ward has more than 70 miles of residential roads, not counting our arterial streets or alleys. The cost to repave one block can cost over $75,000 with some costing over $100,000.

ChiStreetWork
Curious about what construction is coming to your block? The City of Chicago's website ChiStreetWork provides information on upcoming construction projects, permits, road closures, and more.

ChiStreetWork was launched in 2019 and allows the public to search for CDOT permits for work in the right-of-way. It can show projects from the past 30 days, through the next 90 days. Please note, because of these date restrictions, it may not always show all projects. For more information on construction and infrastructure improvements on your block, please reach out to our office.
